PHOTO DAYS ARE COMING!
Hello dear families!
My name is Isabella Dellolio and I am a portrait photographer based in Western Mass.
I am so excited to have the opportunity to meet your kids for school photos this year!
Here are some details and answers to questions you might have. Please read until the very end :)
What is a fine art school portrait?
Imagine school portraits that truly capture children’s unique spirits.
Whether a child is enthusiastic or shy in front of the camera, we have a great time. Rather than force a smile or insist on awkward poses or faces, I encourage children to be themselves. A relaxed environment and fun experience result in genuine and timeless portraits.
This modern approach to school photography is a wonderful alternative that truly brings out each child’s personality.
Do I need to register in advance and pay any fee up front?
No! Everyone is welcome and encouraged to sit for the portrait. You will have a choice to purchase your child’s portrait/s later.
What should my child wear?
The portraits are all about your kids’ spirit and expressions. We are going to create wonderful art for you to hang in your home and share with your loved ones. We don't want the clothes to distract from their faces and take center stage so please follow these simple instructions.
• Use solid colors.
• For patterns, small and simple works best.
• Neutrals and layering look great.
• When in doubt earthy, solid, toned down colors!
• Make it super fun!!
Please avoid:
• Graphics and logos. They are very distracting!
• Black or navy blue as this will be too contrasting with the background.
• Red, bright, flashy, primary colors and neon clothing. They cast weird tones on the kids’ skin - nobody wants that!
• White. It is too stark (looks like wearing a light bulb!) against the background.
Please help your kids have fun in choosing their outfit, wearing something they love, being themselves, being super comfortable and remind them to try everything on in advance to make sure everything fits.
AFTER THE SESSION
How will I order?
There is NO order form.
Within four weeks of your child’s photo day, you will be e-mailed the link to a class online gallery. There will be a few images of each child (numbers can vary from child to child). Images will be in both color and black and white. I do not choose which photos you print; you do! You will be able to order prints, metal prints, and digital files directly from the viewing gallery. The ordering process is simple and secure. The prints will be shipped directly to your home. There is a shipping fee for every print order.
The gallery will be live for seven (7) days.
ALL ORDERS MUST BE PLACED IN THAT SEVEN DAY PERIOD. Once orders have been placed, your photos and/or metal prints will be delivered to you within four weeks.
Do you do skin retouching?
My edits include only light skin softening. I don’t remove, pimples, blackheads, unwanted or flyaway hair, bumps, bruises and scratches, or peanut butter mustache. Same goes for pets’ hair ;)
How do you use the photos?
As a small, local and referral based business I rely heavily on sharing my work through my website, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn so other people can find me. It is a vital part of my business. While images are essential, names are optional.
Please let me know if you wish that I do not share your child’s portrait online.
