I know how valuable your time and investment is.
The following information is intended to help you be as prepared as you can for our session. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me. I look forward to seeing you soon!
NOTE: Because of Covid-19, I only offer outdoors sessions at this time. However, I have a lot of creative ideas on how to make our outdoor session work for all your needs!
Your Individual Portrait Session
Individual portraits, personal branding, high school seniors
The information in this section applies to all individual portrait sessions, whether you are getting portraits just for yourself, as a high school senior, or as a small business owner, entrepreneur, artist, or political candidate campaign. No matter what brings you to our shoot, you’ll want photos that truly reflect your unique personality and style - and you can expect to come away with visually stunning new content, be it for personal use, social media, blogs, printed materials, public relations outreach, brochures, websites, press releases, or other promotional materials.
The following tips will help you prepare for our time together.
Location: I have many locations that I love to shoot at regularly. I am always open to suggestions, as well, in case you have a favorite spot. The goal is to choose a spot that fits your style and personality, and I am happy to help you think through this decision.
Time: If we are shooting in your home, I prefer late morning, because that is when homes are generally lit up the best. For outdoors portraits we usually meet one hour before sunset. The light is typically too harsh mid day.
Length of session: Plan on meeting for an hour.
What to wear: Wardrobe should be comfortable and reflect who you are. You can bring a couple of changes to achieve different looks. Please read HAVE FUN CHOOSING YOUR LOOK.
Here are some key takeaways:
Try everything on in advance to make sure everything fits the way you want
Bring layers, no matter the forecast
NO NEON COLORS or big patterns
NO BIG LOGOS, brand names, characters, or words on clothing!
Compliment the location
Choose accessories purposefully
Be yourself!
Do ask me for suggestions or help if you want to. My personal style may be different from yours, but I will look at your outfits with a photographer's eye. Plus, I’m Italian so I have really good taste (my friend made me add that part).
