Authentic High School Senior Portrait

Graduating from high school is such a special moment in the lives of our children and our families. A senior portrait is not the time to have one more awkwardly posed school picture with a fake smile and background. It's a chance to share hints of the adults our kids are turning into, and celebrate the childhood that they haven’t yet quite left behind.

“Thank you so very much for the amazing photos of Sara. Honestly, I can't thank you enough. My husband, Will and I are thrilled with the pictures and so is Sara. We are so excited to share her pictures with our family. They are going to love them as much as we do.”  - Melissa

My laid-back approach creates a comfortable space for the Seniors to really let their personalities shine. Add the beautiful light at sunset and then the biggest challenge becomes narrowing down the options from so many fantastic shots.

I have found that some Seniors come to life in a photo session when they do it with a friend. Others are much more relaxed and natural on their own. So with my Senior sessions, I offer the option of doing an individual or joint session (maximum 2 - and always practice safe social distancing).

The photos you see in this blog of Seniors hugging were taken last winter, before Covid-19.

It’s not too early to schedule a session for your Senior. They will need these photos early in the fall for their yearbook, college applications and more. Although I will continue to do all of my sessions outside until the end of the pandemic, there are many different locations to create the specific atmosphere your Senior feels most comfortable in.

I look forward to getting to know your Senior!
